Letters from Camp
For yet another way to see what’s going on at Camp Blue Ridge, check out “Letters from Camp,” CBR’s own blog where we will try to share updates and details about camp life, our amazing staff and our spectacular campers.
“From the moment I drove through the gates of Camp Blue Ridge 15 years ago, I knew I’d stumbled onto a rare gem of a place. All these years later I carry with me fond memories, life long friendships and a true sense of the spirit that embodies childhood at it’s best. My years as a staff member have taught me the true value of camp and have molded and driven me into the career I now enjoy. I may not have grown up at CBR, but my kids sure will!”
“8 years ago we sent our 1st born to Camp Blue Ridge for his very first summer away from home. Last year he finished his 2nd year as a CBR counselor while our daughter and younger son were enjoying their 5th and 3rd respective summers there as well. We can’t even begin to tell you how much they look forward to returning summer after summer. Enjoying all the activities, overnight camping trips, teen trips, color war, socials, bunk songs, etc….just totally awesome! Thank you Joey, Lori and staff for not only looking after & treating our kids as family, but providing them the greatest experiences throughout their childhood years that will be lifetime memories.”
“When we think about the perfect summer experience, a summer with Camp Blue Ridge and staff is our first thought. Our daughters have been spending some of the most enjoyable times in Georgia over the last 5 years. Our girls have made friends who stay close even when they aren’t at camp. For those campers they know from home, the fun they have and experiences they share make them even closer. As parents, we look to expand our children’s experiences. We want them to be able to experience many different activities. At CBR, the campers get to choose their own schedules, a great way for the campers to try new things and repeat the activities if they choose. The campers at CBR are amazing kids, the staff are responsible, engaging and such positive role models and influences, the owners and administration are caring and responsive to any and all questions. We truly feel that we are sending our girls to spend the summer with family, not just at a sleep away camp. Our daughters spend the time away from camp, literally counting down the days until time that they return.CBR will always be talked about with huge smiles and giggles which accompany all the stories the girls tell us about throughout the year.Thank you, Lori and Joey Waldman, for giving our girls the opportunity to become more responsible, well rounded people!”
