Camp Blue Ridge is a family operated summer sleep away camp and retreat center for 48 years. It is an activity-oriented, coed, accredited summer camp nestled on 250 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia, 2 hours northeast of Atlanta. Camp Blue Ridge has been hosting school groups, religious organizations, corporate entities and family retreats for 28 years organized by one of the owners. Lori Waldman, who was also a teacher of the gifted for 32 years.
While at camp, the kids will have the opportunity to experience fun activities such as ropes course and climbing tower with it’s challenge course and team building activities, boating races, relays, capture the flag, scavenger hunts and campfire time with a bit of learning about life, themselves and the world around them mixed in.
The low ropes course and other camp activities are extremely fun but will also take the children through a journey of self-discovery and team bonding revealing characteristics of themselves and their classmates and how they impact each other in real-world situations.  They are encouraged to use communication skills and problem skills to help get their teams through the course while stepping out of their comfort zone. They should get ready for some real “ah-hah” moments !
