THE FOLLOWING ARE IMPORTANT POLICIES WITH WHICH BLUE RIDGE CAMP ASKS YOU TO ABIDE BY SO WE CAN FULFILL YOUR CHILD’S NEEDS THROUGHOUT THE CAMPING SEASON. WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE ADHERE TO OUR REGULATIONS AND POLICIES.
• The camp does NOT HAVE an open door visitation policy, thus, no one will be permitted on camp grounds on any other day other than those provided by the camp. Session C Visitors’ Day only – see Parent’s Manual for dates• No child is permitted to leave camp at any time except on organized camp trips or to visit a physician.
• Since the phone system in our area is set up for business only, there will be no phone calls allowed to campers outside of one made by appointment. Parents may speak to a director, or the medical staff. We ask you to write or avail yourselves of our one way email Enotes. Further information will be sent pertaining to email instructions. We do not allow cell phones, two-way radios or laptop computers-they will be confiscated. Campers will call from camp once during their session.
• The camp will evaluate whether parcels or items mailed to campers meet the high standards espoused by our camp parents, and those items not meeting these standards will be disposed of. No edible items will be distributed to campers, they will be given to charity. Checking the submit box gives us permission to open and dispose of all parcels which are contrary to these rules. When sending packages remember those items MUST fit in their duffels when packing for their return home. Campers may only receive ONE package per week. All other correspondence must be in flat envelopes.
•No personal fireworks or firearms will be allowed in camp. Possession of any controlled substance, alcohol or tobacco is grounds for dismissal without refund.
•In case of emergency, Blue Ridge Camp is granted permission to secure any additional medical treatment or hospital service. I give permission for the attending physician/facility to release all pertinent information regarding my child’s diagnosis and care to Blue Ridge Camp. The camp is not financially responsible for dental and/or orthodontic treatment. The camp must have a full medical profile of medications taken on a daily basis or as needed. This must be sent to the camp health center through CAMPMEDS only, in advance, and not put in the camper’s possession. All medications are kept in the health center. Medication must not be sent up with campers.
•The camp reserves the right to use any photographs taken at camp of your child or children for use in public relations and on their online social media sites.
•I understand that part of the camping experience involves activities and group interactions that may be new to my child, and that they come with uncertainties beyond what my child may be used to dealing with at home. Such risks include uneven terrain, standing and moving water, wildlife encounters including mammals, reptiles and insects. I am also aware that I am aware that my child may participate in off-campus activities such as rafting, climbing and various field trips that involve additional risks. In addition, there are certain unavoidable risks associated with various game and play activities such as collisions, wayward objects such as balls and other equipment and other risks. I am aware of these risks, and I am assuming them on behalf of my child. I realize that no environment is risk-free, and so I have instructed my child on the importance of abiding by the camp’s rules, and my child and I both agree that he or she is familiar with these rules and will obey them.
TOTAL CAMP FEE MUST BE PAID NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, TO ENSURE DESIRED BUNK PLACEMENT.
Finance charges will be added after March 15th.
There will be no deductions or refunds from the fees if a camper arrives late or leaves early for any reason.
There will be no tuition refund if the camper is sent home due to behavior unacceptable to Blue Ridge Camp, or leaving due to parent/camper request, or cancellation after March 1st.
Conduct of campers and parents are governed by the terms of this application and by such other rules and regulations as are necessary to the safety, well-being and enjoyment of our campers. A Parent’s Manual of all pertinent camp information and regulations will be on our website at www.blueridgecamp.com. Please read and advise your child of all regulations. Campers must meet the health and maturity standards deemed appropriate for Blue Ridge Camp. Disclosure of all medical and psychological treatments, past and present, is required prior to enrollment. A completed Blue Ridge Camp health form must be submitted prior to enrollment or the health care staff will NOT be able to care for the child.
I agree that any dispute concerning, relating, arising out of or referring to the subject matter of this contract shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Rabun County, Georgia, according to the then existing commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association and the substantive laws of that state.
The arbitrator and not any federal, state or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or violable.
Deposit of $750.00 must accompany each enrollment application.
Deposits will not be refunded after March 1st.
There is a $100.00 non-refundable registration fee for office costs which will be taken from the $750 deposit in case of cancellation. Any and all suits filed must be filed in Rabun County, Georgia.
Your electronic signature(clicking submit) authorizes your child’s participation in all activities unless otherwise noted. Your signature also authorizes Blue Ridge Camp to transport your child by any camp vehicle to and from the camp premises and to participate in all field trips and activities. I understand and agree to all the provisions of this application.
By clicking the submit button, you and your child/ren are accepting all rules, policies, regulations and terms of Camp Blue Ridge. Additionally, you are certifying that your child may be photographed and videoed which might be used for promotional and social media purposes. I give permission for child/ren to have ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen. All remaining medications will be given to each camper to place in their carry-on bag or backpack upon departure.
